Lara's favorite airlines
Cathay Pacific (always on time! Maybe because their destinations never have snow?? but the JFK terminal 7 that they use is a disaster)
British Airways (a long time ago, when I was a kid - I got sent first class on them. Wow.)
Air France (nice little TVs in econo class - with movie choice! but if you don't speak French you might have a hard time understanding their pilots - even in English)
Delta Shuttle - much better than the USAir one.
Air Canada (soon to go down on my list because they keep losing my bag - and the monopoly they have created makes them very expensive)
Westjet - a cute little airline in the Canadian West which is very cheap and cheerful.
Continental
American
Austrian Airlines is OK - but what is up with those weird flight attendant uniforms?
Lufthansa is OK too but the flight attendants are sort of strict. They make you feel like you are always bothering them. (maybe I was)
And the worst
TWA - never fly TWA if you can help it. Try to avoid going to those Republican states they serve - there are always zillions of people sitting in St Louis airport because no one ever makes their connections.
British Midland (my all time worst lost bag fiasco - at Expo 2000 - had to go around representing Canada in my airplane pajamas for five days.)
KLM (please see "why not to take KLM)
AND:
For a great amount of hilarity - try taking Aeroflot Domestic.
