Dear Lara,
I was saddened to discover you will not be performing with the New West Symphony this February. When will you return to Southern California? Seeing you in recital (Cerritos Performing Arts Center, 12/98) was still the greatest concert-going experience I've ever had.
And when will you record a new CD?
Thanks,
Jesse

Dearest Lara:
Hi there. How are you doing young lady? Me, I am quite well. I have got to be your biggest fan. The way you compose music is breathtakingly beautiful. If ever there were an award for most beautiful classical female artist, you would win hands down. I truly believe that you are doing an exemplary job. You are a splendid artist and you should be proud of your talents.
I know you must get thousands of requests, such as this, but I was hoping you could send me an autographed picture. I realize you are very busy and have a limited amount of time, but I would appreciate it to the highest degree if you could help me out. Should my request be approved, may I send another e-mail detailing my address?
Thank you so much for your time and please keep up the fantastic work. Best of luck to you always! Take care andhave a nice day.
Sincerely,
Bob

Dear Lara,
I don't know if you would remember me, but I finally heard your music and I thought it was great. I met you late last year at the WISE hall in Vancouver listening to the Puentes Brothers little concert. I was the tall guy with the shaved head hanging out with Mike Peters. Anyways, I finally got hooked up to the net and (with the help of Mike's secretary) finally got your name right at Amazon. Sorry, I thought you said your name was Sarah. No wonder my first searches came up with no results. The real trippy thing is that when I saw the album cover to your Bach solos I knew I'd seen it somewhere before. I must've seen you on a talkshow or something a while ago. Anyways, it was a pleasure to have met you, I hope things are going well for you and I suppose I'm going to have to add two new CD's to my collection. You really are quite incredibly talented! Take care!
Sincerely,
Gary

Hi Lara,
I wrote you recently to say hi a few weeks ago. Thanks for your kind note. Too bad we wont see you In Boston this month :-(
I've been enjoying time off from gigs and teaching. Been practicing a ton while I have the time. I start teaching Berklee spring semester in a week. Looking forward to it.
Anyhow, I have both of your cds, and I'm a big fan. Would it be ok if I asked for an autographed promo-photo? I'm happy to pay for postage (and the photo). I'd love to hang it in my studio, your playing is a great inspiration to me.
Hope all is well, and I hope your holiday was great! Thanks again.
Musically yours,
Scott T.

Lara,
I am writing to request an updated appearance schedule be posted on your website. The current one goes no further than Feb. third, and I am anxious to see if you will be in Chicago, or reasonably close by, in the near future.
Both of your albums are fantastic, but at this point I am eager for a third. Or to catch you in person playing something fresh. Perhaps some Haydn on your next one? Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll be happy. You have excellent taste.
Yours,
John in Chicago

Lara,
Last night we had the privilege of hearing and seeing your performance at Princeton University with the New Jersey Symphony. Since we had front row seats, we were able to see up close some of your intensity and your passion for the music. But what made the experience really a pleasure was sensing that you really enjoy what you do.
Your comments on the criticism about your CD cover were well put. I enjoy many types of music, but I am not well versed at all in classical music. When I'm browsing through the classical music section at the store, I must admit I have no way usually to differentiate one CD from another. The cover on your Bach CD basically says, here is a different approach to classical music; why not give it a try? I did and I found the experience pleasurable and fun. Someday I hope my kids, who are both in their twenties, are drawn to classical music. I think it may take an innovator like yourself who is passionate about what she does to do it. Keep it up and don't let anyone take you where you don't want to go.

Dear Lara,
I have purchased both your recordings some time ago, and I have eagerly awaited your next recording. Both your previous works are among some of my most prized recordings. Your "Bach Works" is a superb and I much prefer your interpretation to Pearlman's which in itself is no slouch.
As for "Gypsy" I find it magnificent. You are an incredible artist and talent. I would love to see you come and perform in the Utah area someday, but if not possible soon, I would travel to see you when you next might visit the intermountain west. say a Denver performance or Phoenix. Please do think about another recording, I'm sure many others await it.
Thank you
Howard

Hi Lara,
My name is Daniel O'Keefe and I am a luthier in Santa Fe, NM. I build renaissance and baroque guitars and, every now and then, a vihuela or two. I
am also a furniture maker by trade and use that vocation as a means by which I may pursue my real love; lutherie.
I have written to you once before; sometime around a year or so ago but I am sure you do not remember me what with all the mail you receive and your incredibly busy and hectic lifestyle.
I am now, as I type, listening to your rendition of Bach's Chaconne from the 2nd partita and decided to write you and thank you for your gift to the world in the form of this recording! Thank you!
I have never done this before but I will make this offer anyway. Should you ever feel the need to talk with someone about anything; stress, pressure, etc, please feel free to write back. I am a nice fellow and would like to offer to you the benefit of corresponding with someone who is, shall we say, on the other side of the coin in terms of life experiences. Just a thought.
Please know I thoroughly enjoy your musicality and interpretation of Bach to no end!! Once again, thank you so very much for the gifts you are bestowing upon the world!!! Thank you.
All the best to you and yours!
Sincerely, Daniel
